The President is the legal representative of the National Competition Commission (Comisión Nacional de la Competencia — CNC) and directs, coordinates and supervises the work of its various offices. The President also presides over the Council of the National Competition Commission. The President is named by the Government of Spain at the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Finance for a non-renewable six year term of office
