The CNC brings infringement proceedings in the motor vehicle distribution sector in Spain

Following inspections carried out on 4, 5 and 6 June and 23, 24 and 25 July, the CNC has opened formal proceedings for possible anti-competitive practices involving the fixing of prices and of business and service terms, as well as the exchange of commercially sensitive information in the Spanish market for the distribution of the following makes of motor vehicle: Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, NISSAN, TOYOTA, Land Rover, Hyundai and Opel. The CNC has also opened formal proceedings against NISSAN IBERIA, S.A., RENAULT ESPAÑA, S.A., TOYOTA ESPAÑA, S.L., CHRYSLER ESPAÑA, S.L., GENERAL MOTORS ESPAÑA, S.L.U., FIAT GROUP AUTOMOBILES SPAIN, S.A., FORD ESPAÑA, S.L., CHEVROLET ESPAÑA, S.A., HYUNDAI MOTOR ESPAÑA, S.L.U., HONDA AUTOMÓVILES ESPAÑA, S.A., KIA MOTORS IBERIA, S.L., PEUGEOT CITROEN AUTOMÓVILES ESPAÑA, S.A., VOLKSWAGEN AUDI ESPAÑA, S.A., SEAT, S.A., URBAN SCIENCE ESPAÑA, S.L.U. and SNAP-ON BUSINESS SOLUTIONS, S.L., for possible anti-competitive practices involving agreements for the exchange of commercially sensitive and strategic information between manufacturers and distributors of motor vehicles in Spain.
