In its Resolution of 23 February 2012, the CNC Council took the view that there was proof that between 2001 and 2010 the companies Balearia Eurolíneas Marítimas, S.A., Compañía Trasmediterránea, S.A. and Isleña Marítima de Contenedores, S.A. had participated in a cartel to fix prices and other terms of trading or service, to limit or control production and share out the market on the maritime transport lines for cargo and passengers between the Spanish mainland and the Balearic Islands, including the lines between Menorca and Mallorca, and between Ibiza and Mallorca.
